Ace is recommended for those who are not hypertensive but just want to prevent or treat insomnia, fatigue, pain

All around the world, there are indigenous therapies of preventing, treating and curing all kind of diseases.  But, here in Nigeria we depend heavily on drug therapy for both preventing and treating illness. People have been known to use different forms of therapies which include and not limited to water, acupuncture, herbal, radiotherapy, magnetic, physical etc.

Sine Pharmaceutical Ltd is introducing to the Nigerian medical industry, a new preventive and treatment therapy for regulating Blood Pressure, BP. This method uses magnetic therapy in a bracelet wore on the wrist to regulate Blood Pressure, BP to prevent high or low BP. Commune Magazine asked the CEO of Sine Pharmaceutical Ltd, Dr. (Mrs.) Nkech Moloa about this therapy, its uses and important question on BP maintenance. Compliment o the Season.

You have this revolutionary bracelet that claims to regulate BP, how does it work?
The bracelet contains magnetic field and when worn on the wrist the magnetism is rapidly distributed and absorbed throughout the body through the radial artery. This causes an increase in blood flow throughout the body and hence an increased supply of oxygen to tissues and organs thereby reducing the workload of the heart and thus decreasing high blood pressure.
In addition to regulating blood pressure, the bracelet helps to relieve pain and cure insomnia and fatigue.
As the bracelet will effectively regulate their blood pressure

Who can use it?
The bracelet comes in 3 sizes, the smallest size called Ace is recommended for those who are not hypertensive but just want to prevent or treat insomnia, fatigue, pain. The next size is the Neon for those with mild to moderate hypertension and the largest size Tsuki is for those with chronic hypertension. The bracelet can be used by both men and women except pregnant women.

To obtain maximum benefits, the bracelet should be worn for at least 6 hours daily and should not be allowed to come in contact with water.

Can we say it is for prevention and maintenance? If so, can we do away with all the hypertensive drugs?
Yes, it is for both prevention and maintenance. For those already on anti-hypertensive drugs, we don't advise them to quit their drugs immediately but gradually discontinue the use of the drugs. If a person uses the bracelet continuously, after a period of 4-6 weeks they will no longer have need of the drugs as the bracelet will effectively regulate their blood pressure

BP Bracelet

Does the pharmaceutical Council or any medical Council agree with this treatment method?
Yes, it is. The bracelet uses Magnetic therapy which is an approved and duly recognized treatment method.

When do people become hypertensive?
Hypertension which is also known as high blood pressure refers to a blood pressure higher than 120/80 mmHg.  A person is said to be hypertensive if his blood pressure consistently remains high over a period of time.

I understand this condition is also hereditary, how can such person prevent full-blown hypertension?
Predisposing factors of hypertension include age, weight, sex, underlying health conditions, alcohol and tobacco use etc. To prevent hypertension one needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Apart from wearing this wrist bracelet or using drugs, what other things do you recommend as a way of maintaining or keeping hypertension at bay?
Regular physical exercise such as walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, quit smoking and alcohol consumption, reduce Stress, reduce salt consumption, eat diets rich in fruits and leafy vegetables,

There's a saying that every drug is a potential poison

What have been the reaction of people to this unusual way of keeping the blood level down especially for a condition known to be very expensive to treat or maintain?
A lot of people have welcomed the idea because wearing the band is more convenient and cheaper than having to take pills daily.

How expensive is the wrist bracelet?
The wrist bracelet is very affordable, the Ace goes for #20,000, the Neon goes for #24,000 and the Tsuki goes for #30,000. Delivery is free

When does the bracelet become less ineffective as expires?
The bracelet does not expire, and can last several years. The band may get weak, if allowed to come in contact with water so it is advised to take off the bracelet when bathing or doing any task that involves the use of water.

Dr., what advice will you give to Nigerians concerning use of Over-The-Counter, OTC drugs in the New Year?
There's a saying that every drug is a potential poison, so my advice to Nigerians is to avoid self medication and always consult your pharmacist or physician before taking any medications because these OTC drugs also have adverse effects if not used the right way.
