The 3rd edition of Oba
Gbolahaun Timson cup final comes up on the February 28, 2016 at 3pn at the
Unilag Sports Complex between Surulere FC and Coker FC of Iwaya. The annual
soccer championship is organized by Youth Soccer Association in recognition of
Oba Gbolahaun Akanbi Timson, The Jagunmolu of Shomolu-Bariga.
In a phone chat with the
organizer's PRO, Mr Taofeek told Commune Magazine that the organization
organized the soccer tournament in recognition of Oba Gbolahaun's love and
contribution to development of sport. And for the past three years, they have
been organizing the soccer fiesta in conjunction with the Oba. According to Him, important dignitaries and
celebrities are expected to grace the final includes Oba Gbolahaun Timson,
other Obas in Lagos, the Executive Secretary of Bariga LCDA and other
dignitaries.
